The company is seeking a Staff Engineer to build, scale, and evolve their web platform and APIs in a rapidly growing technology environment.
The role involves collaborating with product and design teams, taking ownership of engineering projects, and mentoring other engineers.
The position is open to candidates from LATAM and emphasizes a mission-driven approach to making clinical trials accessible to everyone.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of full-time professional software engineering experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with React is required.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience working with Typescript.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, deploying, and scaling web applications in AWS is necessary.
Experience in developing APIs and microservices for web, mobile, and backend clients is required.
Candidates should have experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, is expected.
A strong understanding of software architecture and design trade-offs is essential.
Experience with testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, is required.
Proficiency with SQL databases, specifically Postgres on AWS RDS, is necessary.
Candidates must be proficient with Git and Mac OSX/Unix.
Strong organizational skills and excellent communication in English are required.
The ability to lead others and resolve team issues with limited guidance is essential, especially in ambiguous situations.
