Description:
H2O.ai is seeking a Customer Data Scientist to join their Professional Services team in Bangalore, India.
The role involves delivering data science and machine learning professional services to customers, focusing on implementing machine learning models to address customer-facing business problems using H2O.ai's suite of products.
Responsibilities include collaborating with customer and H2O solution engineers to implement end-to-end ML solutions, with an emphasis on the data science and modeling aspects.
The Data Scientist will demonstrate ML solutions through engaging storytelling and technical accuracy, develop custom data models, and help improve training performance for customer use cases.
The position requires assisting customers in understanding data science nuances, model performance, interpretability, and post-deployment monitoring to build trust in model predictions.
The Data Scientist will gather customer feedback to enhance H2O.ai products and act as a trusted solutions advisor for customers and partners.
Effective communication with a diverse audience, translating business cases into technical solutions, and presenting at meetups and webinars are also key aspects of the role.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and AI is required.
Experience with H2O products, Python, and R for solving machine learning problems is preferred.
Knowledge of various machine learning techniques, including supervised/unsupervised learning, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks, is essential.
Familiarity with advanced statistical techniques and concepts for practical applications is necessary.
Experience in statistical and data mining techniques such as GLM/Regression, Random Forest, and text mining is required.
Proficiency in visualizing and presenting data to stakeholders using H2O Wave or other visualization libraries is a plus.
Understanding of post-production model monitoring concepts and tools like H2O ML Ops or MLFlow is beneficial.
In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms and experience in deploying end-to-end ML pipelines is expected.
An interest in Generative AI and Large Language Models, including prompt engineering and fine-tuning, is desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are required to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
