Remote Customer DevOps Engineer (Remote, US)

Description:

• Sayari is seeking a highly skilled Customer DevOps Engineer to join its growing Infrastructure team.
• This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure for some of Sayari's largest customers.
• The engineer will drive the automation of deployment processes, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and continuously integrated.
• Responsibilities include serving as a key technical advisor for customers, guiding them through self-hosted product deployments across various cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• The engineer will design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure across IaaS providers.
• Development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform is required to automate cloud resource provisioning and management.
• The role involves implementing and managing Kubernetes-based environments and resolving issues as they arise.
• The engineer will build and improve automated testing, security scanning, and monitoring of CI/CD within the customer’s environment.
• Responsibilities also include developing automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations and enhance productivity across teams.
• The engineer will partner with the customer’s security team to implement cloud security best practices.
• Support for data engineers in maintaining and optimizing data tools, pipelines, and workflows is also part of the role.
• The engineer will implement comprehensive monitoring solutions and automate backup processes and failover mechanisms.
• Creating and maintaining detailed documentation and diagrams is essential.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in a Cloud DevOps Engineering or a similar role.
• A working knowledge and comfortability with Microsoft Azure is required, as this will be the initial focus.
• Extensive experience with GCP and/or AWS is necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for articulating technical concepts effectively to both internal and customer stakeholders.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters is required.
• Candidates must have experience developing infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving skills are necessary to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes.
• Proficiency in integrating automated testing, security scanning, and monitoring within CI/CD processes is required.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go are necessary.
• Experience in developing internal tools to streamline processes and increase productivity is required.
• Candidates should have experience managing and scaling large databases in a production environment.
• Excellent collaboration skills are essential for working closely with the customer’s product, data, and security teams.

Benefits:

• The target base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $180,000 per year.
