Description:
As a Customer Solutions Engineer at Sift, you will act as the bridge between the customer-facing team and the engineering and product teams.
You will explain complex ideas to customers and relay customer needs to engineering and product teams.
You will own the most complex customer issues, partnering closely with Technical Account Management and Support Engineering teams to onboard Enterprise accounts and ensure they maximize Sift's value.
You will build a deep understanding of customers’ business problems, technical requirements, and success criteria to empower them to solve complex business problems.
You will support the customer lifecycle as the technical point of contact throughout their relationship with Sift, understanding their business and technical needs.
Your day-to-day tasks will include understanding the nuances of customer integration, working with Sift’s data science team to ensure machine learning model health, and meticulously whiteboarding data flow to expand integration.
You will automate and optimize processes by applying your technical and customer knowledge, writing custom queries and scripts to calculate metrics, and optimizing recurring processes.
You will take innovative approaches to problem-solving that will guide internal decision-making.
Requirements:
You must have a minimum of 3 years in a technical customer-facing role.
You should have a proven ability to collaborate closely with data science, engineering, and product teams.
Exceptional communication skills are required, with the ability to convey complex technical and business concepts to both developers and non-developers.
You should be creative, coachable, collaborative, goal-oriented, and thoughtful.
A strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence are essential.
You must possess a growth mindset with a passion for learning new skills and applying them to technical challenges.
A resourceful and proactive approach is necessary, with a willingness to investigate anomalies and challenge the status quo.
Experience in writing scripts for building internal tools (e.g., Bash scripting, Python, Ruby) and familiarity with APIs and web technologies is required.
You should have the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously, thriving under pressure and enjoying clarifying ambiguous situations.
Bonus points for experience in the B2B payments and/or fraud space.
