Remote Customer Solutions Engineer

Description:

• The Customer Solutions Engineer position at OpenFin is a hybrid remote role based in Sydney, with occasional travel to clients in the region and to corporate offices in London and NYC.
• OpenFin is a high-growth enterprise productivity tech company focused on modernizing and democratizing app development and distribution in the finance space.
• The role involves assisting in the adoption of OpenFin's product offering across enterprise organizations by collaborating with customers, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams.
• Responsibilities include demonstrating OpenFin's core API capabilities, driving customer architecture and implementation of full stack solutions, and designing and building customer-specific software solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, and other technologies.
• The ideal candidate should have a minimum of seven plus years of software development experience in a customer-facing environment, excellent communication and time-management skills, and a strong technical aptitude with a confident command of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience in building, integrating, and supporting large single-page applications, as well as familiarity with Electron, PWAs, .NET, and Java, is preferred.
• A passion for supporting technical implementations, an interest in web development, and the ability to navigate competing demands for concurrent projects are essential for this role.

Requirements:

• A minimum of seven plus years of software development experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Confident command of JavaScript/TypeScript and a strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex technology requirements.
• Experienced in building, integrating, and supporting large single-page applications.
• Must be comfortable navigating competing demands for concurrent projects and willing to take a lead role on ensuring delivery of priorities.
• A genuine passion for supporting technical implementations, across a range of technology solutions.
• Experience in any of the following would be both preferred and beneficial: Electron, PWAs, .NET & Java.
• An interest in web development and how new standards can help build richer applications.
• Excitement about challenges, disciplined problem-solving, and responsiveness in a customer-focused environment.
