Description:
The Customer Success Engineer role at WordPress VIP is responsible for ensuring customers' technical success in scaling, building, and deploying applications on the platform.
This position involves providing technical support and architectural consulting primarily through Zendesk tickets.
The role requires solving complex, mission-critical problems related to customer deployments and applications.
The engineer will promote platform knowledge and feature adoption among customers.
Support is provided 24/7, necessitating scheduled weekday and weekend shifts, as well as some holiday availability.
The role involves direct interaction with customers to investigate and debug issues, and may include joining customer calls for long-term initiatives.
Requirements:
Candidates should have a background as a full-stack engineer or experience in enterprise or media engineering.
A solid understanding of modern PHP is required, and familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks or Node.js is a plus.
A willingness to rapidly learn new technologies and debug unfamiliar applications is essential.
Excellent written English communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
Candidates should be motivated by collaborative problem-solving and have a passion for helping others succeed.
Previous experience in an enterprise support environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with software engineering standards, coding practices, source control (primarily Git), build processes, testing methodologies, and cloud infrastructures is beneficial.
For certain teams, candidates must be based in the United States, undergo background checks, and hold American citizenship.
