Description:
The Cybersecurity Architect serves as an advisor on best practices and is responsible for designing and implementing project-level security strategies, architectures, and solutions that guide IT security direction.
They are accountable for the security architecture across various applications or domains and are assigned to projects/initiatives of small to medium size, complexity, and risk.
The Cybersecurity Architect develops actionable security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines to ensure that enterprise information technology architecture is consistent, usable, secure, and adds value to the business.
They will design sub-components of larger security architecture blueprints or projects with a narrow focus and complexity.
The Cybersecurity Architect performs due-diligence activities, including security monitoring, to evaluate the effectiveness of the enterprise security program and established controls.
They implement enterprise security strategies, architectures, and solutions that guide IT security direction.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of related work experience, specifically in security technology design, architectures, development, and/or monitoring.
A related Bachelor’s degree or additional equivalent work experience in an IT-related field is required.
Candidates must obtain a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification within 180 days if converted to full-time employment.
Preferred qualifications include 2 or more years of work experience designing security architecture on progressively complex IT projects.
Candidates should have 2 or more years of cloud security experience and experience in Identity and Access Management with employee and consumer identity security.
Health care industry-related experience is preferred, as well as experience using Agile methodology.
