Remote Cyber Security Support Engineer

Description:

• Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments for IT and OT systems.
• Assist in the mitigation of threats and vulnerabilities.
• Support and maintain security tools and technologies.
• Ensure security tools are properly configured and updated.
• Collaborate with teams to develop and track remediation plans for identified vulnerabilities.
• Monitor and ensure timely closure of vulnerabilities per SLAs.
• Ensure tools are properly integrated with other security systems and data sources.
• Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning of security solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Proven 3 to 4 years of experience in cybersecurity support or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and best practices.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus software, etc.
• Working knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Relevant certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security +, GSEC, CISM) are preferred.
