Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer to support a large government department's cybersecurity efforts.
The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of experience working with data loss prevention solutions, specifically Microsoft Purview DLP.
Experience transitioning from Broadcom/Symantec DLP to Microsoft Purview DLP is a definite plus.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive data loss prevention program using Microsoft Purview.
The role involves collaborating with IT and cybersecurity groups to ensure effective implementation of data loss prevention policies across all organization systems.
The candidate will analyze complex technical requirements, design scalable solutions, and work with cybersecurity experts to implement and maintain the DLP system.
The position requires analyzing alerts from the DLP system to assess the effectiveness of configuration policies and optimizing configurations.
Documentation, procedures, and guidelines related to DLP must be developed and maintained.
Training and support on Microsoft Purview DLP features and functionality will also be provided.
This position is remote but must be located in the United States and requires a Public Trust clearance.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 16 years of relevant experience, or an AA/AS with 14 years, a BA/BS with 12 years, or an MA/MS with 10 years of relevant experience.
Significant experience with data loss prevention (DLP) solutions, specifically Microsoft Purview DLP, is required.
Experience transitioning from Broadcom/Symantec DLP (or other DLP solutions) to Microsoft Purview DLP is necessary.
A strong understanding of Microsoft Purview architecture and capabilities is essential.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
Experience supporting various cybersecurity tools and platforms from an engineering, configuration, operations, and maintenance perspective is a plus.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to achieve Public Trust or higher security clearance are mandatory.
