The Data Analyst position is a remote, full-time role at Skyward, contingent on contract award.
The role involves supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) by disseminating data to researchers focused on improving care quality and reducing costs for chronically ill Medicare beneficiaries.
Responsibilities include creating production code in SAS, R, or Python in a cloud environment, maintaining analytic documentation, providing data interpretation, and generating reports.
The analyst will conduct quality reviews on analyses and collaborate with team members to resolve data-related issues.
The position requires developing statistical models and providing predictive analytic support.
Communication of statistical and data-related concepts to various stakeholders is essential.
The analyst will utilize advanced tools to interpret complex data and deliver actionable business recommendations.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, information systems, or a related field is required.
Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the healthcare IT government sector.
Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python for large data analyses and statistical modeling is necessary.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are essential.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with large datasets are required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed to work effectively in cross-functional teams and present to stakeholders.
Experience supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) would be a significant advantage.
