Simpluris seeks to hire a remote Data Analyst based out of the Orlando area operations.
The ideal candidate will have a naturally analytical and curious mind, capable of understanding the complexities of various issues and identifying clear paths to solutions.
The role involves viewing problems from multiple angles to understand client needs.
Most data projects are presented in a word problem format, requiring the candidate to read and extrapolate project requirements.
The position requires collaboration with the project management team to receive various types and sources of data.
Responsibilities include interpreting and developing data project requirements and utilizing tools such as Python, Excel, and SQL for data cleansing, transformation, and calculations.
The candidate should have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience with Python or SQL, and a passion for efficient real-world data applications.

Requirements:

Proficiency in data manipulation using MS Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP), SQL (SELECT/JOIN), and/or Python (Pandas, NumPy) is required.
The ability to succinctly explain and thoroughly document steps of data analysis is essential.
Candidates must be able to follow existing instructions/SOPs and develop new SOPs as needed.
Self-management and the ability to work independently are necessary.
Effective communication of data issues to non-technical users is required.
Candidates should have solid critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Comfort with basic algebra, logic, and statistics is expected.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written, are important.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of advanced functions, is required.
Some experience with programming languages (e.g., SQL, C#, JavaScript) is a plus.
Python or R experience is preferred.
The ability to learn new tools and business processes quickly is necessary.
Prior experience performing ETL functions is a plus.
Experience with reporting (e.g., SSRS) or dashboarding (e.g., PowerBI) is a plus.
Education in IT/MIS, accounting, math, or similar programs is preferred.
