Description:
The Data Analyst will be part of the Product Analytics Team at Match Group, focusing on understanding user needs and behaviors to enhance their dating experiences.
The role involves querying large and complex datasets to derive actionable insights that drive user retention and satisfaction.
The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, CRM, Engineering, and Business Intelligence, to improve user experience.
Responsibilities include providing internal consulting on A/B tests, presenting technical content to stakeholders, and acting as the product owner for revenue and retention strategies.
The analyst will research customer behavior by analyzing relevant metrics and trends, supporting products like Chispa, BLK, Upward, and Yuzu.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on SQL experience and advanced Excel skills.
Exposure to applied statistics, including descriptive statistics, statistical testing, and linear modeling is required; experience with Python, SPSS, SAS, or R is a plus.
Strong communication skills and a self-starter attitude are essential.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to understand the business impact of data and make informed recommendations.
Excellent problem-solving skills are necessary for this role.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or an MBA with a quantitative focus is required.
Experience in product analytics for digital applications, including mobile apps and consumer internet, is preferred.
