Description:
Visana Health is seeking a contract to hire Data Analyst to join their technology team.
The role involves analyzing data and providing insights to meet key business objectives and drive data-driven decision making across the organization.
The Data Analyst will work cross-functionally with Business Operations, Clinical Operations, Product, and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities include pulling and analyzing data from multiple sources in Snowflake and Athena EMR, and building dashboards in Lightdash.
The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure data integrity best practices.
The position requires storytelling with data and a background in analyzing complex clinical/healthcare data is a plus.
Key tasks include planning and executing high-visibility reporting, cleaning and transforming raw data, designing and maintaining dashboards, conducting analyses for quarterly reports, and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical team members.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst.
A Bachelor's degree in STEM or other quantitative fields such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Finance is required.
Experience working with healthcare data, particularly AthenaOne or Athena Data View, is a plus.
Intermediate SQL skills and professional experience with complex production data are necessary.
Proficiency in Excel is required.
Familiarity with Python or other programming languages is a plus but not mandatory.
Knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis is essential.
Experience with BI tools like Looker or Lightdash is required.
Experience with data warehouses, specifically Snowflake, is necessary.
Familiarity with dbt (Data Build Tool) is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential.
Candidates should be familiar with key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to business operations.
The ability to break down complex problems and provide creative data-driven solutions is required.
A willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently is necessary.
