Description:
Outschool is seeking a Data Analyst for Marketing and Supply to join their Data & Research team, which is crucial for the operational and financial success of the company.
The role involves working primarily with the Marketing department (75% of the time) to build metrics, models, dashboards, and analyses that guide marketing strategy and promote efficiency.
The remaining 25% of the time will be spent collaborating with the Supply department to facilitate data-driven decisions that support the population of educators offering classes on Outschool.
Responsibilities include maintaining and improving the multitouch attribution model, analyzing marketing campaign effectiveness, collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing SQL queries, leveraging dbt for data transformation, designing data pipelines, and conducting data analysis to identify trends and insights.
The position offers an opportunity to help shape Outschool’s strategy and build out its data platform and culture as the company continues to grow.
Requirements:
A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics or data science.
Knowledge of major marketing platforms such as Google, Meta, and TikTok is essential, along with experience in building and maintaining multitouch attribution models.
Advanced SQL skills are required, including experience writing complex queries.
Familiarity with data modeling concepts and data transformation tools like dbt is necessary.
Prior experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is expected.
Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset suitable for a startup environment.
A growth mindset and passion for learning about emerging trends in data analytics are also important.
