Description:
The Data Analyst role at JumpCloud is a critical position within the Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team.
The primary responsibility is to drive JumpCloud’s core reporting, dashboard, and analytics.
The analyst will support stakeholders across all business units including Finance, Marketing, Sales, Growth, UX, Customer Success, and Product.
The role involves collaboration with various technical teams such as Enterprise Support Systems, Data Engineering, and Software Engineering to create impactful insights.
A successful candidate will be passionate about data, able to prioritize multiple projects, and comfortable asking difficult questions in ambiguous environments.
The role requires a hands-on attitude as JumpCloud is a lean and fast-moving company.
Responsibilities include collaborating on large projects involving data visualization, analysis, and curation, owning outcomes of analytics initiatives, gathering requirements, providing actionable recommendations, mentoring other analysts, supporting project management, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
Candidates must have intermediate knowledge and experience in SQL and relational databases, with Snowflake experience highly preferred.
Proficiency in one or more business intelligence/data visualization tools is required, with Tableau experience highly preferred.
Intermediate quantitative experience is necessary, preferably in the SaaS industry.
Candidates should possess intermediate analytical skills and a passion for data storytelling and quantitative analysis.
Mentoring skills are essential for this role.
Strong attention to detail and a desire to learn are required.
Effective stakeholder management and communication skills are necessary.
Experience with Data Governance best practices is required.
Competency with scripting languages such as Python (Jupyter, Pandas, Numpy) and/or R (tidyverse, dplyr, ggplot2) is a plus.
Effective project management and organizational skills are required, with Agile experience being a plus.
Candidates should have experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, unstructured environment; start-up experience is a plus.
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field is required.
