Remote Data Analyst, Power BI Specialist

Description:

• Bottomline Technologies is seeking a Power BI Specialist to support and maintain their Power BI environment.
• The role involves creating, innovating, and optimizing Power BI dashboards while managing permissions and ensuring data security.
• The specialist will deliver business insights and will require strong expertise in Power BI and SQL.
• Key responsibilities include managing and refreshing Power BI dashboards, building and troubleshooting dashboards, optimizing report performance, managing row-level security, and collaborating with teams to align outputs with business reporting needs.
• The specialist will also support variance analysis and integrate Salesforce data into Power BI views.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have extensive experience with Power BI, including managing and optimizing dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of SQL is required, with experience in query optimization and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Denodo or other data virtualization tools is a plus.
• The ability to create and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical and functional documentation is essential.
• Candidates must be able to manage security protocols within Power BI, including row-level security and permissions.
• Experience with Oracle and Postgres is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams are necessary.
• Candidates should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including ad-hoc tasks and longer-term initiatives.
