Remote Data Analyst, Power BI Specialist

Description:

• Bottomline Technologies is seeking a Power BI Specialist to support and maintain their Power BI environment.
• The role involves creating, innovating, and optimizing Power BI dashboards while managing permissions and ensuring data security.
• Responsibilities include managing and refreshing Power BI dashboards and data sources, building and troubleshooting dashboards, and optimizing report performance.
• The specialist will manage row-level security and workspace permissions, lead dashboard re-writes, and collaborate with teams to align outputs with business reporting needs.
• The position also requires supporting variance analysis between source systems and Power BI, integrating Salesforce data into Power BI views, and proactively managing performance issues.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of extensive experience with Power BI, including managing and optimizing dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of SQL is required, with experience in query optimization and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Denodo or other data virtualization tools is a plus.
• The ability to create and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical and functional documentation is essential.
• Candidates should be able to manage security protocols within Power BI, including row-level security and permissions.
• Experience with Oracle and Postgres is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams are necessary.
• Candidates must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including ad-hoc tasks and longer-term initiatives.
