Description:

We are seeking a diligent Data Analyst to help with some data reconciliation and accounting tasks.
You will manage day-to-day financial tasks, assist with financial reporting, and support compliance with accounting principles.
This role is crucial for maintaining accurate records, providing valuable insights, and ensuring smooth financial operations as we continue to expand.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all entries.
You will write and maintain SQL queries to reconcile invoicing with our internal data.
Handle daily entries, reconciliations, and post transactions, focusing on attention to detail.
Process invoices, track collections, and handle outgoing payments, maintaining up-to-date records in accounts payable/receivable.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including profit and loss statements, to assist in strategic planning.
Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting processes, offering insights to guide financial decision-making.
Assist with tax filing and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Gather and organize documentation to support internal and external audits as needed.
Use accounting software to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights that support various projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

Some accounting experience is required, ideally within a startup or fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in accounting software and strong data entry skills are necessary.
Knowledge of SQL is essential.
Advanced Excel skills, including familiarity with pivot tables and complex formulas, are required.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail are a must.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently are important.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on teamwork, are needed.
