Description:
The Data Analyst will ingest, standardize, and analyze pharmacy and medical claims and eligibility files.
The role involves using exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify general patterns and outlier data points.
The analyst will build new and optimize existing ETL processes.
The position requires engaging cross-functionally to identify, prioritize, and deliver data and analysis requirements.
The analyst will partner with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability, prioritizing and delivering actionable insights from analytics.
The role facilitates a data-driven approach to problem-solving by increasing data accessibility across the organization via automated reports and dashboards.
The analyst will develop, maintain, and QA an automated process to pull data and populate templates for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including ad hoc client, sales, and investor reports.
Presenting financial reports to clients and prospects is a key responsibility.
The analyst will build and track the effectiveness of rules identified by clinicians to generate engagement opportunities to improve member outcomes and drive savings.
Collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams is necessary to monitor engagement performance, identify new product features, and measure impact.
The analyst will partner with external data vendors to securely transfer health data, ensuring efficient and correct processing at scale.
Requirements:
A BS in STEM or other quantitative subject (e.g., economics, finance) is required; an MS degree is a plus.
The candidate must have 3 years of professional experience analyzing data, generating dashboards and reports, and providing insights derived from research to cross-functional teams.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with healthcare data is required.
The candidate should understand and support business priorities.
Experience working with large, complex healthcare datasets is necessary.
Proficiency with SQL is required.
An understanding of applied statistics is essential.
The ability to distill and communicate analytic results to a variety of stakeholders is necessary.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required.
The candidate must be able to accurately articulate a technically complex subject matter to an audience spanning the technical competency spectrum.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently is essential.
Careful attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines with the ability to multitask on different projects is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience creating clear deliverables from vague requirements, experience with Python and Pandas, and experience developing advanced models (i.e., machine learning, linear regression).
Familiarity with working with big data and no-SQL databases, AWS, and data visualization platforms like Looker, Tableau, or Sigma Computing is preferred.
The candidate should be self-motivated, creative, curious, and have attention to detail.
Familiarity with working with source control systems, e.g., GitHub and GitHub Actions, is preferred.
Experience with presenting reports to clients and senior management is beneficial.
The ability to create and maintain standard operating procedures for all data activities is preferred.
Experience with Artificial Intelligence is a plus.
