Remote Data Architect

Description:

• The Data Architect will design and architect comprehensive data solutions across multiple platforms aligned with client needs and objectives.
• Responsibilities include leading data architecture transformations and migrations to modern cloud solutions, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• The role involves designing and implementing Virtual Cloud solutions, including virtual networks and management of network routings and subnets.
• The Data Architect will design efficient, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for streamlined data processing and integration.
• The position requires designing scalable, high-performance data models and databases, including Medallion Data Warehouse architecture and Data Lakehouses.
• The Data Architect will manage one or more data projects, owning end-to-end execution and responsibility for outcomes.
• Leading cross-functional teams to deliver on client goals while providing technical guidance and ensuring alignment with best practices is essential.
• Engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand business goals and deliver tailored solutions is a key part of the role.
• The Data Architect must ensure all designed solutions meet high standards of quality, performance, cost-effectiveness, and access policy management.
• Staying updated with emerging industry trends and technologies to provide added value to clients is also required.

Requirements:

• Advanced or expert-level experience with one or more database technologies (e.g., SQL Server) and modern data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery) is mandatory.
• Experience with integrating data across disparate systems using APIs and data integration tools is essential.
• Proficiency in industry-leading data movement and transformation tools such as Snaplogic, dbt, Matillion, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, and AWS Glue is required.
• Expertise in advanced analytics, including predictive modeling and statistical analysis, is necessary.
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for data visualization and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R) for decision-making is needed.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices for data (e.g., DataOps) and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform) is important.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is required.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing data teams, including data engineers and analysts, are essential.
• The candidate must be sociable and able to build positive relationships across all levels of an organization.
• Effective communication skills with clients, leadership, and executive teams are necessary.
• Experience working with distributed teams and clients is preferred.
