Remote Data Architect

Description:

• The Data Architect will focus on designing the blueprint of the entire data management framework, including setting the vision, policies, and standards for data collection, storage, arrangement, and use across the organization.
• This role ensures that data systems are scalable, interoperable, and manageable.
• The Data Architect will construct data pipelines that transform and transport data from various sources for efficient use by Data Analysts and Data Scientists.
• The position reports to the Director of the Data Practice.
• Daily responsibilities include designing a data architecture that supports data analysis and business intelligence efficiently and scalably.
• The Data Architect will design database solutions, oversee data storage (data lakes, databases), and maintenance.
• They will develop scalable data architectures across multiple platforms and computing environments.
• The role involves implementing data privacy policies and complying with data protection regulations.
• Collaboration with system designers and developers to implement data strategies is essential.
• The Data Architect should have knowledge of database structure systems and data mining, as well as familiarity with multiple database technologies like SQL, NoSQL, Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Expertise in data modeling and design tools, along with strong experience with Databricks technology, is required.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in the data architecture field is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in a STEM program is necessary.
• Knowledge of database structure systems and data mining is essential.
• Familiarity with various database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and cloud services (AWS, Azure) is required.
• Expertise in data modeling and design tools is necessary.
• Knowledge of database design and structures, data modeling, and data warehousing is required.
• A broad understanding of big data solutions and expertise in data management technologies is essential.
• Familiarity with tools and languages like SQL, UML (Unified Modeling Language), XML, and enterprise architecture frameworks is required.
• Target certifications include AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Developer Associate, SnowPro Advanced Architect, and Databricks Apache Spark Developer.
