Remote Data Architect

Description:

• Design and architect scalable and efficient data architecture solutions to meet business requirements, including data models, schemas, and storage structures.
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data integration, analysis, and reporting.
• Implement data governance policies and standards to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data assets, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Design and implement data integration solutions to ingest and integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring data consistency and coherence across systems.
• Manage data storage solutions, including databases, data lakes, and cloud storage services, optimizing for performance, cost, and scalability.
• Define and implement data lifecycle management processes to manage the lifecycle of data from creation to archival or deletion.
• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and metadata management processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
• Document data architecture designs, standards, and best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong background in data architecture, with hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing data architecture solutions.
• Proficiency in data modeling techniques and tools, including ER modeling, dimensional modeling, and data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner).
• Experience with database technologies such as relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data lakes, and data warehouse platforms (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
