Description:

  • HSO / Aware is seeking a full-time Data Architect to join their professional services team.
  • The role involves working on exciting data projects for customers while ensuring best-practice delivery.
  • Candidates should have a strong software engineering background and experience in designing, implementing, and deploying code and infrastructure on cloud platforms, particularly in data platforms or AI workloads.
  • The Data Architect will provide technical leadership, support sales in advancing customer journeys, and define best practices to upskill the team.
  • The position offers opportunities for hands-on contributions while maintaining a focus on the bigger picture.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have recent experience (within the last four years) as a consultant in a service delivery organization using the Microsoft Azure stack.
  • Demonstrated expertise in modern data platforms, including Databricks, Azure Purview, Azure Synapse Analytics, CI/CD Pipelines, and Azure DevOps is required.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL is essential.
  • A current Microsoft Solution Architect Expert certification or similar qualifications in Data and AI on Azure or Databricks platforms is necessary.
  • A solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and their application to modern data solutions is required.
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs and design, scope, quote, model, and deliver production-ready solutions is essential.
  • Candidates should be able to think beyond immediate solutions, considering integration with other technologies, with cross-functional skills in DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Machine Learning being a bonus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences are necessary.
  • A passion for learning and staying ahead of emerging technologies is expected.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to bridge gaps between business requirements and technology is required.
