Remote Data Architect

Description:

• Doxee S.p.A. is seeking a Data Architect to join their R&D team, working with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and big data specialists.
• The role involves designing cloud infrastructure for data management pipelines, interacting with product owners to align data products with business goals, and mentoring other engineers in the team.
• Responsibilities include overseeing the data science team, defining technical solutions, creating and maintaining IaaS cost models, and executing data projects.
• The Data Architect will be involved in evaluating emerging data science/machine learning libraries and platforms, building analytic systems, and ensuring data projects align with organizational goals.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer/Architect or similar role.
• Knowledge of data management and visualization techniques.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a similar field.
• Experience with distributed data/computing tools like Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark.
• Proficiency in querying databases and using statistical computer languages such as Java (SpringBoot), Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with AWS services, infrastructure, and cost models.
• Solid understanding of machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to relate effectively with the team.
• Business mindset to identify risky situations and opportunities, and generate creative solutions.
• Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of information technology.
