Description:

The Data Architect focuses on designing the blueprint of the entire data management framework, including setting the vision, policies, practices, and standards for data collection, storage, arrangement, and use across the organization.
They ensure that data systems are scalable, interoperable, and manageable.
The role involves constructing data pipelines that transform and transport data from various sources for efficient use by Data Analysts and Data Scientists.
The Data Architect will report to the Director of Data Practice.
Daily responsibilities include designing a robust data architecture that supports data analysis and business intelligence efficiently and scalably.
They will design and create database solutions, overseeing data storage (data lakes, databases) and maintenance.
The Data Architect will develop and maintain scalable data architectures across multiple platforms and computing environments.
They are responsible for implementing data privacy policies and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
Collaboration with system designers and developers to implement data strategies is essential.
Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining is required.
Familiarity with various database technologies like SQL, NoSQL, Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and cloud services (AWS, Azure) is necessary.
Expertise in data modeling and design tools, as well as strong experience with Teradata and Snowflake technology, is expected.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of experience in the data architecture field is required.
A Bachelor's degree in a STEM program is necessary.
Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining is essential.
Familiarity with various database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and cloud services (AWS, Azure) is required.
Expertise in data modeling and design tools is necessary.
Deep knowledge of database design and structures, data modeling, and data warehousing is expected.
A broad understanding of big data solutions and expertise in data management technologies is required.
Familiarity with tools and languages like SQL, UML (Unified Modeling Language), XML, and enterprise architecture frameworks is necessary.
Target certifications include AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Developer Associate, SnowPro Advanced Architect, and Databricks Apache Spark Developer.
