Remote Data Architect, AWS, Contract

Description:

• 66degrees is seeking a Senior contractor for a 3+ month data migration remote assignment with the potential to extend.
• The candidate must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• The candidate is required to join by the last week of October.
• The role involves engaging in data migration tasks, specifically from AWS to GCP, including AWS to CloudSQL and/or AWS to AlloyDB.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with data engineering, cloud architecture, or working with data infrastructure.
• Database migration experience from AWS to GCP is required.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform is required, and multi-cloud implementation experience would be beneficial.
• Candidates should have experience with building, monitoring, and logging systems as part of data platforms.
• Documenting solutions that include architectures, pricing, and other technology design considerations is necessary.
• Proficiency in Python programming language and SQL is required.
• Experience with data modeling and schema design is essential.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
