Leading requirements gathering workshops with both technical and non-technical customers is part of the job.
The Data Architect will confidently lead any stage of the data software development lifecycle and challenge the status quo to propose improvements.

Requirements:
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python 3.8+, SQL, and PySpark is required.
Experience with Azure services including Data Management Landing Zones, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL DB, and Azure Cosmos DB is necessary.
The candidate should apply Domain-Driven Design for optimal Azure architecture topologies.
Crafting enterprise data strategies that balance trade-offs, organizational structure, tech maturity, and strategic objectives is essential.
Familiarity with CI/CD in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation (Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps) is required.
Experience in designing scalable data warehouses and managing complex data pipelines is necessary.
Knowledge of implementing data contracts, MDM, data catalog, lineage, and metadata management is required.
Understanding of security measures including IAM, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, Encryption, and Data Loss Prevention is essential.
Proficiency with tools such as GitHub, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates is required.
