The company is seeking an experienced Data Architect for a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity.
The Data Architect will design, develop, and maintain Google Cloud data architecture.
Responsibilities include designing and managing scalable cloud-based data architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using services like BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, and others.
The role involves developing and maintaining data models, implementing solutions for processing large datasets, and establishing data governance policies.
The Data Architect will build and optimize data pipelines, monitor data systems for performance, and collaborate with data engineers and scientists.
Staying current with the latest technologies and trends in data architecture and cloud computing is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of GCP data services, including BigQuery and Cloud Dataflow.
Expertise in data modeling techniques and best practices is required.
Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop is necessary.
Proven ability to design scalable and cost-effective cloud architectures is essential.
Understanding of data governance, including data quality and compliance, is required.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and DBT (Data Build Tool) is necessary.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
GCP Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect certification is a plus.
