Description:

  • Servant is seeking a Data Architect to serve as the technical leader responsible for designing and implementing scalable, flexible, and efficient data architectures.
  • The role requires a deep understanding of modern data platforms, best practices, and performance optimization, while embracing flexibility and creative problem-solving.
  • The Data Architect will oversee end-to-end data architecture, ensuring governance, quality, security, and operational efficiency while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
  • This position involves providing hands-on technical leadership, guiding engineering teams in best practices for data management, integration, and analytics enablement.
  • Key responsibilities include designing and implementing a secure data architecture, integrating diverse data sources, assessing and refining data models, leading data platform migrations, establishing ETL/ELT best practices, implementing data quality frameworks, and assessing cost implications of data solutions.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related fields, with a strong track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions.
  • Deep expertise in data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization is required.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for developing and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows are essential.
  • Experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks is necessary, along with the ability to apply best practices across platforms.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT tools such as Fivetran, Stitch, dbt, or Airflow is required.
  • A strong understanding of data quality, lineage tracking, and governance best practices is needed.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and related services (e.g., S3, Data Lakes, IAM security) is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills are necessary, with the ability to balance best practices with real-world constraints.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and influence key decisions is required.
  • Experience working remotely is preferred; prior consulting experience is a plus.
