Description:
Servant is seeking a Data Architect to serve as the technical leader responsible for designing and implementing scalable, flexible, and efficient data architectures.
The role requires a deep understanding of modern data platforms, best practices, and performance optimization, while embracing flexibility and creative problem-solving.
The Data Architect will oversee end-to-end data architecture, ensuring governance, quality, security, and operational efficiency while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
This position involves providing hands-on technical leadership, guiding engineering teams in best practices for data management, integration, and analytics enablement.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing a secure data architecture, integrating diverse data sources, assessing and refining data models, leading data platform migrations, establishing ETL/ELT best practices, implementing data quality frameworks, and assessing cost implications of data solutions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related fields, with a strong track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions.
Deep expertise in data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization is required.
Strong SQL and Python skills for developing and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows are essential.
Experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks is necessary, along with the ability to apply best practices across platforms.
Expertise in ETL/ELT tools such as Fivetran, Stitch, dbt, or Airflow is required.
A strong understanding of data quality, lineage tracking, and governance best practices is needed.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and related services (e.g., S3, Data Lakes, IAM security) is essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills are necessary, with the ability to balance best practices with real-world constraints.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and influence key decisions is required.
Experience working remotely is preferred; prior consulting experience is a plus.
