Remote Data Architect -Microsoft Azure (AU IT, Home-based) Contractual

Description:

• The Data Architect will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable, and high-performance data architectures using Microsoft data and analytical technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Implement data integration, warehousing, and analytics solutions using Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
• Develop and maintain data models, dictionaries, and governance policies for data quality and integrity.
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and analysts to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
• Ensure secure, private, and compliant data architectures in line with industry standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data architects and engineers.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a Data Architect with a focus on Microsoft data and analytical technologies.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modelling, and data management best practices.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing data solutions using Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
• Nice to have: Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks), knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics, understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices, understanding of cloud computing principles, experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform), experience with automation and orchestration tools.
