Description:
Astronomer is seeking a Data Architect for their Professional Services team, working remotely in the United States.
The role involves acting as a technical lead for high-stakes professional services engagements with key customers.
Responsibilities include participating in pre-sales motions, building architecture and operational diagrams, and providing reference implementations for data pipelines in Apache Airflow.
The position requires collaboration to create reusable assets and best practices, as well as interaction with Product and Engineering teams for feedback and requirements.
The Data Architect will work with the Global Service Delivery team to ensure clients derive value from their Airflow and Astronomer experiences.
Establishing strong relationships with key customer stakeholders is essential.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience with Apache Airflow in production environments.
A background in designing and implementing ETL, Data Warehousing, and ML/AI/analytics use cases is required.
Familiarity with OpenLineage and data quality and observability tools is necessary.
Proficiency in Python and ideally other programming languages is expected.
Knowledge of cloud-native data architecture is essential.
Demonstrated technical leadership on team projects is required.
Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
Candidates should possess customer empathy and a willingness to learn new technologies.
