Description:
As a Data Architect at LanguageWire, you will be responsible for re-architecting the data infrastructure by revising existing pipelines and data warehouse and moving towards a data lake architecture.
You will define LanguageWire’s data vision and strategy, including aspects like architecture, governance, compliance, etc.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to drive data-related aspects of the roadmap, plan and deliver trainings, and support them in their data needs.
Support engineers in their day-to-day work with technology selection, data modeling, query optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting issues.
Balance focus between long-term strategic initiatives, evangelization of engineering teams, and tactical day-to-day support.
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Good knowledge of cloud services (Azure & GCP) and DevOps engineering.
Solid data modeling skills, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
Experience with Data Warehousing (BigQuery, SnowFlake, Databricks, etc.).
Experience with Orchestration technology (Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
Experience with Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.
Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Technical leadership experience and ability to influence without authority.
Experience working within a microservice-based architecture.
