Remote Data Architect (remote in Spain possible)

Description:

• As a Data Architect at LanguageWire, you will be responsible for re-architecting the data infrastructure by revising existing pipelines and data warehouse and moving towards a data lake architecture.
• You will define LanguageWire’s data vision and strategy, including aspects like architecture, governance, compliance, etc.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to drive data-related aspects of the roadmap, plan and deliver trainings, and support them in their data needs.
• Support engineers in their day-to-day work with technology selection, data modeling, query optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting issues.
• Balance focus between long-term strategic initiatives, evangelization of engineering teams, and tactical day-to-day support.

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Good knowledge of cloud services (Azure & GCP) and DevOps engineering.
• Solid data modeling skills, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
• Experience with Data Warehousing (BigQuery, SnowFlake, Databricks, etc.).
• Experience with Orchestration technology (Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
• Experience with Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Technical leadership experience and ability to influence without authority.
• Experience working within a microservice-based architecture.
