Description:
AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer Lead specializing in Hyper-scale Data Centers to act as Data Center Electrical Engineer Lead.
The job incumbent will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems in large-scale data centers.
This position is a remote opportunity and can be based out of any of AECOM's U.S. offices.
The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of data center infrastructure.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, developing and maintaining electrical schematics, ensuring compliance with industry standards, collaborating with other engineers, analyzing electrical systems, monitoring and maintaining electrical systems, developing safety procedures, and staying up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering and data center technologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus eight (8) years of relevant experience in electrical design and/or electrical engineering, with a focus on data center infrastructure.
Registered Professional Engineer.
Data Center Design and Construction experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical design, power distribution systems, and backup power systems.
Experience with high-density data centers and hyper-scale environments.
Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including NEC and IEC standards.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
