Description:
As a Data Center Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of a remote team based anywhere in the Netherlands.
You will report to the US Director of Network Infrastructure.
Your responsibilities include monitoring ticket queues for newly escalated issues and acting upon events discovered by monitoring systems.
You will troubleshoot issues with server and network infrastructure, including triaging, diagnosing, repairing, or replacing server and network components.
Coordination with other Zscaler teams is required to schedule and complete break/fix activities, ensuring all corrective actions are fully validated.
You will engage and assist remote “Smart Hands” and other third parties as needed, escalating to Data Center and Transit Providers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Updating tracking documents and attending team meetings to plan and schedule maintenance and repair work is part of your duties.
Occasionally, you will perform on-call duty.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience working within production Data Center environments is required.
You must have a deep understanding of server and network infrastructure and componentry.
A solid working knowledge of LINUX/UNIX systems is necessary.
Experience with engaging remote Data Center “Smart Hands” is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with the Google and Atlassian suites of tools.
