Description:

  • The Data Developer role involves working with data and solving complex problems across the entire data lifecycle.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and execute projects from start to finish.
  • The position requires developing and optimizing Python and SQL scripts for data processing, analysis, and automation.
  • The Data Developer will assist in creating, maintaining, and enhancing data marts to support analytics and reporting.
  • Quality assurance (QA) will be performed to ensure accuracy and consistency in datasets and processes.
  • The role includes validating client-provided data for quality, completeness, and integrity.
  • Implementing robust testing and validation frameworks to ensure data quality is essential.
  • The Data Developer will create impactful data visualizations and reports for internal stakeholders, including marketing and sales teams, with potential visibility to clients.
  • Automating recurring workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy is a key responsibility.
  • The position encourages active contribution of ideas during team discussions and proposing innovative projects to add value to the organization.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent education or work experience is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience with Python, demonstrating mastery of pandas for data manipulation and analysis.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience with SQL is necessary.
  • Experience with Git and version control systems is required.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, manipulation, and visualization techniques is essential.
  • Candidates should be self-motivated with the ability to independently manage and prioritize tasks in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences are required.
  • A creative mindset and a strong work ethic are important for this role.
  • Preferred qualifications include familiarity with medical or financial data analysis, experience building and maintaining automated workflows, experience with large-scale datasets and tools like Dask, and experience building Tableau dashboards.
