Description:

Horace Mann is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Enablement and Governance Lead to join their data team.
The role involves managing the implementation of data governance, establishing data quality standards, and ensuring compliance with privacy requirements.
The lead will act as a liaison between IT, legal, compliance, and business units, participating in data-related groups and assisting in policy development.
Responsibilities include conducting training sessions on data governance principles, providing direction to data stewards, and developing metrics and reporting.
The lead will schedule and facilitate Data Council meetings, ensuring effective communication and follow-up on action items.
The position requires maintaining data catalogs, metadata repositories, and data dictionaries to ensure data accessibility for stakeholders.
The lead will manage a team of data professionals responsible for data analysis and quality assurance.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Proven experience of 5+ years in data governance, data management, or a related field is necessary.
Candidates must have experience with data quality management, data stewardship, and data compliance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels is required.
Proficiency with data governance tools and technologies, preferably Informatica, is necessary.
