We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a tech project in the renewable energy sector.
The responsibilities include integrating new data sources, ensuring data consistency, reliability, and efficiency.
The role involves developing and optimizing Databases and Data Warehouses.
The Data Engineer will create and manage ETL processes.
Implementing robust data quality checks to ensure data integrity throughout its lifecycle is essential.
The position requires documenting data processes, architectures, and pipelines.
Ensuring all data practices comply with relevant privacy and security regulations is a key responsibility.
The Data Engineer will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering is necessary.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, OOP, Unix, and Git is required.
Proven experience with Data Pipeline Design and orchestration is essential.
Specific knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Timescale DB is required.
A strong understanding of ETL processes and Data Warehousing is necessary.
Some knowledge of Docker would be a plus, as well as experience with APIs.
An understanding of big data frameworks and tools is also valued.
Strong communication skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and teamwork are required.
Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.
