Remote Data Engineer

• We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a tech project in the renewable energy sector.
• The responsibilities include integrating new data sources, ensuring data consistency, reliability, and efficiency.
• The role involves developing and optimizing Databases and Data Warehouses.
• The Data Engineer will create and manage ETL processes.
• Implementing robust data quality checks to ensure data integrity throughout its lifecycle is essential.
• The position requires documenting data processes, architectures, and pipelines.
• Ensuring all data practices comply with relevant privacy and security regulations is a key responsibility.
• The Data Engineer will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering is necessary.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, OOP, Unix, and Git is required.
• Proven experience with Data Pipeline Design and orchestration is essential.
• Specific knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Timescale DB is required.
• A strong understanding of ETL processes and Data Warehousing is necessary.
• Some knowledge of Docker would be a plus, as well as experience with APIs.
• An understanding of big data frameworks and tools is also valued.
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and teamwork are required.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.
