Description:

  • ForceMetrics™ is on a mission to transform data for social change, aiming to positively impact communities by helping public safety and government agencies utilize data effectively.
  • The company is looking for a self-starting Data Engineer to design, develop, monitor, and maintain a robust and scalable data platform.
  • The Data Engineer will build reliable data pipelines to support the data processing and analytics needs of the team.
  • Responsibilities include building a scalable data pipeline, developing self-service tools for data consumers, driving data collection and refinement, evaluating new technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business goals.
  • The position is open to fully remote applicants.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer or relevant role.
  • Proficiency in data scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or R is required.
  • Excellent data manipulation skills using frameworks like Spark/PySpark or Pandas are necessary.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse technologies and data modeling best practices is essential.
  • Experience in building data pipelines/ETL and understanding design principles is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Machine Learning, or a related technical field is necessary.
  • Candidates must be analytically rigorous with high attention to detail and be self-starters capable of working independently.
  • US Citizenship or US Residency is required due to strict data privacy requirements, and candidates must be willing to undergo background checks.
