Description:

Blumen is seeking a Data Engineer to work directly with the Director of Geospatial and manage data engineering for their platform.
The role involves cleaning, standardizing, exploring, and cataloguing public and proprietary datasets before they enter an automated ingestion pipeline.
Responsibilities include building a proprietary join system, creating unique keys for different datasets, and refining the data ingestion and analysis pipeline for various types of geospatial data.
The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a first-of-its-kind system enabling the energy transition at scale and solving challenging engineering problems.

Requirements:

1-3 years of experience building and shipping complex data pipelines in an enterprise setting is required.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience in messy SQL querying, data standardization, and schema design.
The ideal candidate should be personable and excited to work closely with customers in natural resources industries.

This role initially starts as a contractor position with opportunities for full-time for high performers.
The pay ranges from $35 to $50 per hour.
