Description:

  • The Data Engineer will design, build, implement, and maintain data processing pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various data sources.
  • The role involves developing robust and scalable solutions that transform data into a useful format for analysis, enhance data flow, and enable end-users to consume and analyze data faster and easier.
  • Data Engineers will be responsible for establishing database management systems, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance for deliverables, including conceptual design, logical database, taxonomy, data storage and capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan, and security policy.
  • They are expected to perform conceptual design, capacity planning, interface specifications, data loading plan, maintenance, and security associated with data collection and organization.
  • The role includes using and reviewing technical tools and programming that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data while maintaining, defending, and updating data structures and integrity on an automated basis.
  • Data Engineers will create and establish design standards and assurance processes for software, systems, and applications development to ensure compatibility and operability of data connections, flows, and storage requirements.
  • The role will review internal and external business and product requirements for data operations and activity and suggest changes and upgrades to systems and storage to accommodate ongoing needs.
  • They will assist with user interface and business applications design and work with stakeholders to ensure database specifications, tables, and element attributes meet requirements.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have the ability to determine a course of action based on guidelines and modify processes and methods as required.
  • The ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action is essential.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to build productive internal and external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactions.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of related experience or equivalent work experience are required.
