Description:

  • Xiatech is seeking a Data Engineer to join their fast-growing UK-based organization.
  • The role involves contributing to the design, implementation, and architecture of the Xfuze Hyper-Integration Platform.
  • Responsibilities include expanding and optimizing data and pipeline landscapes, optimizing data collection and flow, and ensuring consistent data delivery architecture.
  • The Data Engineer will collaborate with Software Developers, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts on data initiatives.
  • Key responsibilities include developing data models, pipelines, and workflows, migrating legacy data infrastructure, and ensuring data quality and best practices.
  • The role requires deploying production-ready code, implementing monitoring and cost management, and maintaining technical/data documentation.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of work experience in data engineering with expertise in Data Modelling.
  • 2+ years of work experience with Azure, including Data Factory and Synapse.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, C, including Spark, and experience with Databricks.
  • Essential experience with Apache PySpark and familiarity with modern DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to data architecture, security, modeling, cataloging, and life cycle management.
  • Skills in SQL, stored procedures on MS SQL Server, and experience in GCP and/or AWS.
