Description:

  • The Data Engineer position at Spaulding Ridge involves designing and implementing Data Integration jobs and pipelines using cloud technologies, API requests, and ETL/ELT tools.
  • Responsibilities also include designing and implementing Analytics Data Models in the Cloud using SQL and/or Python.
  • The role requires learning new tools at an advanced level and obtaining new certifications to add value to current and future customers.
  • Data Engineers must stay up-to-date with new features to help customers prepare for their use.
  • Proactive communication with customers to resolve product issues, provide guidance, and improve relationships and processes is essential.
  • Data Engineers should understand customers' success goals with the tool and help them work towards achieving those goals.
  • Proposing creative solutions to address clients' business challenges and goals is a key aspect of the role.
  • Data Engineers are expected to represent the voice of customers during internal meetings and discussions.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in modeling and manipulating datasets with SQL and/or Python.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Cloud Data Warehouses such as Snowflake and Google BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of data orchestration tools and concepts like Apache Airflow, Dagster, dbt, etc., for at least 2 years.
  • 4+ years of experience in Object-Oriented Coding with Python.
  • 2+ years of experience working with cloud services technologies like GCP, AWS, Azure, preferably with Data Engineer certifications.
  • 2+ years of experience handling API requests using Python, Postman, etc.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, GHA, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of any BI tool such as Looker, Data Studio, Metabase, ChartIO, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, etc.
  • Self-motivation to study and discover new products and technologies in the data landscape.
  • Fluency in speaking and writing English as the majority of projects are delivered in English.
  • Previous experience in delivering technical presentations.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience is preferred.
