Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures.
  • The ideal candidate should be passionate about working with large datasets, solving complex data challenges, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Responsibilities include analyzing datasets from platform and business systems, designing and implementing frameworks for seamless data integration, and determining data lake requirements.
  • The Data Engineer will acquire, clean, and transform datasets to align with business needs, ensuring data quality and consistency while building, testing, and maintaining scalable and efficient data pipeline architectures.
  • The role involves developing tools and systems for data analysis, enabling stakeholders to identify patterns, trends, and insights from historical data.
  • Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders is essential to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Continuous monitoring and optimization of data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability is expected.
  • The Data Engineer will maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data processes, pipelines, and architectures.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering or a related field is required.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Clojure, SQL, and SparkSQL is essential.
  • A strong understanding of database systems and database design principles is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with big data processing frameworks such as Kafka, EKS, and Delta Live Tables is required.
  • Experience working with AWS Cloud computing platforms and related services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR) is needed.
  • Familiarity with data lake architectures and best practices for data integration and management is important.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • US Citizenship is required for this position.
