Description:

The Data Engineer will be part of a growing Data Analytics team and will support all aspects of automation, ETL, data processing, cleansing, and data pipelines.
Responsibilities include designing, architecting, implementing, and supporting key datasets for actionable business information, retrieving and analyzing data using SQL and other BI systems, developing queries for ad-hoc requests, and monitoring existing metrics.
The role involves collaboration with BI/reporting engineers, product owners, and data scientists, and working with the latest AWS cloud technologies.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7-8+ years of overall experience as a Data Engineer and/or Business Intelligence Engineer.
A minimum of 3-4+ years of experience using Python is required.
At least 3+ years of experience in Data/BI/Analytics/Reporting is necessary.
Strong SQL knowledge and skills are essential.
Database experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL is preferable, with other DB engines being an advantage.
Experience with data analytics, business intelligence, data pipelines, warehousing, and reporting is required.
Familiarity with BI solutions such as QuickSight, Tableau, Qlikview, or PowerBI is necessary.
Proven analytical and quantitative abilities, along with a passion for enabling users to utilize data for business cases and root-cause analyses, are important.
Some experience with data modeling, optimization, and ETL processes is required.
Candidates should have a desire to work with the latest AWS cloud-based tools and services.
Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, hard-working, motivated, and possess excellent communication skills.
Previous experience in the payment industry is considered an advantage.
