Description:
Peerspace is the leading online marketplace for venue rentals for meetings, productions, and events, with over $500M transacted through the platform.
As a Data Engineer, you will maintain and enhance Peerspace’s data infrastructure, focusing on managing production MongoDB databases and organizing warehousing data in BigQuery.
You will leverage tools like DBT and Segment to ensure a clean and reliable data ecosystem that supports BI tools, reporting, Marketing, and Data Science initiatives.
The role involves working closely with senior data engineers and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to various data sources and integrations while continuously improving data processes.
Requirements:
You should have 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with hands-on experience managing databases and data pipelines.
Proficiency in managing MongoDB databases, including performance tuning and maintenance, is required.
Experience with cloud-based data warehousing, particularly using BigQuery, is necessary.
Familiarity with DBT for data transformation and modeling is expected.
Exposure to tools like Segment for data collection and integration is important.
A basic knowledge of integrating third-party data sources to build a comprehensive data ecosystem is needed.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when handling large datasets and ensuring data quality are essential.
You must be able to work well in a team environment, learning from and contributing to the data engineering organization and the broader Peerspace technology organization.
A keen interest in advancing your technical skills and staying up-to-date with emerging data technologies and best practices is important.
