Remote Data Engineer

Description:

• Xiatech is seeking a Data Engineer to join their fast-growing UK-based organization.
• The role involves contributing to the design, implementation, and architecture of the Xfuze Hyper-Integration Platform.
• Responsibilities include expanding and optimizing data and pipeline landscapes, optimizing data collection and flow, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• The Data Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with Software Developers, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts.
• Key responsibilities include developing data models, pipelines, and workflows, ensuring data quality, implementing monitoring and cost management, and maintaining technical/data documentation.
• The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of data engineering experience, 2+ years of experience with Azure, proficiency in SQL, Python, C, Spark, and Apache PySpark, and familiarity with modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with Databricks, GCP, and/or AWS is beneficial.
• The role requires energetic, innovative, resilient, and analytical individuals with problem-solving skills and a capacity to learn.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of work experience in data engineering with Data Modelling expertise.
• 2+ years of work experience with Azure, including Data Factory and Synapse.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, C, Spark, and Apache PySpark.
• Experience with Databricks is beneficial.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, including Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD.
• Exposure to data architecture, security, modelling, cataloguing, and life cycle management.
• SQL skills and experience with stored procedures on MS SQL Server.
• Experience in GCP and/or AWS.
