Remote Data Engineer

Description:

• Bounteous x Accolite is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join their team in Frisco, TX, for a contract position that can be performed remotely.
• The role involves designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making processes.
• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining data workflows, managing cloud-based data storage solutions, and ensuring data quality and governance.
• The Data Engineer will collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to deliver reliable, structured data, monitor data workflows, and troubleshoot issues to maintain operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles, with a strong emphasis on data pipeline development, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Experience in database management systems, including relational and SQL/NoSQL databases, is required.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts is necessary, with certifications or coursework in AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred.
• Proficiency in DataStage and SQL/database experience involving multiple, complex queries is essential.
• Candidates should possess exceptional analytical skills for complex applications and data relationships.
• Experience with Linux/Unix Shell scripting and file management is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a product team are necessary.
• Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills, a strong drive for results, and the ability to work independently.
• A demonstrated commitment to quality and project timing, as well as experience in creating and executing detailed test plans, is required.
