Remote Data Engineer

Description:

• Beam is seeking an experienced data engineer to join their engineering team to build and maintain their data platform.
• The role involves working with business domain experts, analytics, and engineering teams to establish a solid data foundation for the company.
• Responsibilities include building and maintaining data pipelines, developing the data warehouse, and supporting the overall data platform.
• The position also involves collaborating with teams to deploy machine learning resources.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in cloud data architecture (AWS, GCP), preferably in the insurance domain.
• Proficiency in data warehousing and advanced SQL concepts like window functions.
• Familiarity with Python, infrastructure-as-code, Docker, dbt, Fivetran, Airflow, and BI visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.
• Experience in machine learning operations and working with SaaS data sources like Salesforce, Hubspot, and Google Analytics is a plus.
• Ability to read Ruby code is advantageous.
