Description:

As a Data Engineer at Career.io, you will play a critical role in shaping our data infrastructure and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
This position is 100% remote/work-from-home and is open to most locations/countries.
You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a robust multi-stage data warehouse infrastructure, focusing on Snowflake to ensure scalability, performance, and data integrity.
You will manage efficient ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
The role involves implementing and optimizing dbt (data build tool) for data transformation, modeling, and documentation, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
You will implement comprehensive data testing procedures, including unit tests, integration tests, and validation checks, to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and product managers, is essential to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights.
Staying current with emerging data engineering technologies and best practices is necessary to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Requirements:

You must have 3-5 years of experience in data engineering.
Strong expertise in Snowflake data warehousing technologies is required.
Proficiency in dbt for data transformation and modeling is necessary.
You should have strong expertise in data ingestion using both UI tools and code-based methods.
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect is required.
You must have experience with data governance, data quality, and compliance.
Knowledge of data testing methodologies and tools is essential.
Strong programming skills in languages such as SQL, Python, or Go are required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary for this role.
