Hakkoda is looking for a talented Data Engineer to join their growing team of experts.
The Data Engineer will build and optimize data pipelines and architectures within the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) for international clients across various industries.
Responsibilities include collaborating with data experts, analysts, architects, and data scientists to create cutting-edge solutions that support business decision-making.
The ideal candidate should have experience in building data warehouses and analytics systems, as well as a passion for optimizing data processes and pipelines.
The role involves designing and maintaining data pipeline architectures to ensure the efficient and reliable flow of data across projects.
Responsibilities also include assembling complex data sets, building and optimizing ETL/ELT infrastructure, and implementing scalable data models that support data storage, retrieval, and growth.
The Data Engineer will ensure robust data governance and security practices are applied consistently.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that enhance performance and operational efficiency is also expected.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related technical role.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, MIS, or a related field is required.
Experience in developing data warehouses and building ETL/ELT ingestion pipelines is necessary.
Strong experience in optimizing ‘big data’ pipelines, architectures, and data sets is essential.
Proficiency in SQL scripting and working with relational databases is required.
Experience with business intelligence and analytics, particularly with unstructured data, is needed.
Cloud experience with AWS is required, and experience with Azure and GCP is a plus.
Proficiency in Python scripting is necessary.
Strong consulting skills are required.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
